NEA 2010 edition launched
The second (2010) edition of the National Excellent Awards (NEA) has been launched in Monrovia.
The NEA’s Chairman, Christopher Hayes Onaruga said the 2010 edition of the awards will place more emphasis on social issues that if not careful handle would affect the entire country.
Speaking at the official launch of the National Excellent Awards, Mr. Onaruga said though the program seeks to identify individuals and groups who have excellently performed in Liberia and other parts of the world, it intends also to focus on creating awareness among the Liberian people about the danger of illicit mining in the country.
He said as the government strives to uphold the rule of law by prosecuting and punishing alleged criminals, law-breakers and social deviants, they should also strive to provide recognition to all those who have positively affected the lives of individuals no matter their color or sex.
